Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Remedy CV website and services (the "Service") operated by Essential Journey ("Remedy", "we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Remedy CV is a paid software service that analyzes a CV you upload against a job description you provide and may deliver an analysis report and an optimized CV (for example PDF and DOCX). A free preview may be available before purchase. Features, pricing tiers, and deliverables are described on the website and may change over time.

The Service is intended for personal, professional use by individuals preparing job applications. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

2. Accounts and access

The current Service does not require a traditional user account. Access is typically tied to a session and the email address you provide for delivery. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and for safeguarding any links or verification codes we send you.

3. Pricing, payment, and refunds

• Paid plans are one-time purchases (no subscription) unless we clearly state otherwise.
• Current tiers and prices are shown on the website at checkout (for example Trial, Iterate, and Search).
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details.
• If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by emailing contact@remedy.cv. We may ask for the email used at checkout to locate your order.

4. Your content and responsibilities

• You must only upload content you have the right to use (your own CV and job descriptions you are allowed to share).
• Do not upload malware, unlawful content, or other people's personal data without a lawful basis.
• You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using them in applications or sharing them with employers.

5. AI-generated output and no employment guarantee

Analysis and optimized CV content may be generated or assisted by automated tools, including AI models. Outputs can contain errors, omissions, or suggestions that do not fit your experience. You should review and edit everything before submitting it to an employer.

We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, ATS scores at any particular employer, or any employment outcome. Results depend on many factors outside our control.

6. Intellectual property

We retain rights in the Service, branding, software, templates, and our documentation. Subject to these Terms and full payment where applicable, you may use the deliverables we generate for your personal job search. You retain rights in the original CV content you upload.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service or attempt unauthorized access.
• Resell, scrape, or systematically extract the Service without our written permission.
• Use the Service to create misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful application materials.
• Circumvent payment, rate limits, or security controls.

8. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Uploaded CV files and related processing data are kept in ephemeral storage for a limited time and then deleted, as described there.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

Subject to the previous sentence, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, or employment outcomes. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant purchase in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you also keep any mandatory protections of your country of residence. Courts in the Netherlands have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer venue rules.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
